October 14th

(sufjan stevens- casimir pulaski day)

today, my dad, mom, and cousin sam (no pun intended) went to chicago for the national portfolio day at the school of the art institute.

it was a lot different then i thought it would be.

after visiting with a few colleges, it was clear that this wasnt the right place to be looking.

my mom found a booklet on photojournalism, and i think thats it. thats what i really want to do.

we went online and found a school in ohio thats perfect.

photojournalism, commercial photography, informational graphics and page design.

its really competitive and will be very difficult to get in, but i kind of feel like God has lead me right to this point. i think it will work out.

Best wishes on you getting into this school.

You are already a wonderful photographer, a decent school to inspire you and hone your skills and you will be a great success, I'm sure.

i set this picture as my background :) i love it.

thats awesome that you are figuring stuff out for next year. god has led you down a great path already jake, he has given you this creative gift that will take you somewhere in life. not too many people have that sense of creativitiy that you have. and the best part about it is that you love it so much. and hey if you go to school in ohio you will be near jared! :) that would be so awesome. i hope that you find the place that is right for you.

uncle sam. do you know who that is?

the guy on the army posters that "wants you" to join.

big white beard, and an american flag hat.
